Updates applied to your Outlook application as well as to your browser can sometimes affect the functionality of how data is displayed, as well as JavaScript that might be running. An update may have also inadvertently disabled Outlook add-ins that are required for the CRM Outlook client functionality.

This can be crosschecked by navigating to windows update and viewing update history

In order to resolve this issue, open the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Diagnostics,

  • Navigate to ‘Advanced Troubleshooting’ tab,
  • Click ‘Delete’ temporary files,
  • Now click on ‘Enable’ the Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook Add-In.
  • Click Save.
